Hornsea Unknown H001 is our own temporary reference for a Hornsea Pottery design that we have not yet been able to identify with confidence. The pieces appear to use the Concord shape, with a pale glazed body, soft grey-lilac rim detail and a delicate floral spray in pink, cream, yellow and muted green.

The decoration has a gentle, understated look, quite different from Hornsea’s bolder geometric and contrast-led patterns. The floral motif is placed to one side rather than used as a full border or all-over design, giving the piece a light, open feel. The soft rim colouring helps frame the shape without overpowering the simple floral decoration.

Although we can confirm this as Hornsea Pottery, we are not currently able to attach a confirmed factory pattern name to it. It may belong to one of Hornsea’s later, shorter-lived or less commonly documented tableware ranges, but until we can verify the name from a reliable source, we are listing it under our own reference, Unknown H001.

As an unidentified discontinued Hornsea Pottery pattern, Unknown H001 may still be of interest to customers looking for replacement china to match an existing set. Availability will depend entirely on what becomes available in the pre-loved market, and matching pieces may be especially difficult where the original pattern name is not yet known.

Do you recognise this Hornsea pattern? If you know the correct name, or have catalogue information, original packaging or a clearly backstamped matching piece, we would be very grateful if you could get in touch and help us identify it.
