Selling Your Discontinued Tableware

Do we buy discontinued china?

Yes we do... BUT... we don't buy everything. In fact we say "No" far more than we say "Yes", so to avoid wasting your time please take a moment to read the following before getting in touch.

We DO NOT buy from overseas, Northern Ireland, Isle of Wight or Isle of Man.

We DO NOT currently buy from inside the M25 circular due to the recent increased costs of doing so. 

We DO NOT quote on small quantities - less than 20 pieces.

We DO NOT quote based on photographs only without a supporting list.  We don't actually need or require photographs. 

We DO NOT buy catering or hotel ware. 

We DO NOT quote on collections of decorative plates and decorative ware unless they accompany tableware. 

If you DO NOT know the name of the pottery and the name of the pattern you are selling we cannot help. 

We DO NOT buy pieces with ANY damage or significant signs of use. We understand that it is likely to have been used but we are unable to pass on items with significant wear and tear to our customers.

 

We DO collect and will never ask you to post your china to us.  

We DO collect from anywhere in the mainland UK. However, if you are in the North of England, North of Wales or Scotland, it may be months rather than weeks before we can collect. The same applies to Kent, Suffolk, Norfolk and Cornwall. 

We DO require a full list of what you have to make a decision on whether to quote or not as it often depends on both the quantity and the balance of pieces you have. 

 

If you still wish to sell your discontinued china to us, please send us an email which includes: - 

  • Your name and best contact telephone number.
  • Whereabouts in the UK you are based (Please include a postcode for possible collection.) 
  • The name of the pottery/manufacturer.
  • The name of the pattern/design. 
  • A list of the pieces you have e.g. 6 dinner plates, 3 breakfast plates, 4 tea cups and saucers, 7 bowls, 8 mugs, 1 teapot. 

Due to the volume of enquiries we receive we are unable to respond to emails that DO NOT include all the required information above.
