Poole Pottery Green Leaf was introduced in 1994 and was designed by Anita Harris. It belongs to the same family of sponged leaf and vine designs as Blue Leaf and Blue Vine, but uses a softer green palette rather than the more familiar blue decoration.

The pattern features sponged green leaves with trailing tendrils on a white earthenware body, finished with a mottled green rim. The effect is fresh and natural, with the hand-decorated finish giving each piece its own slight variation in tone and placement.

Green Leaf is less commonly seen than its blue companions, which appear to have been the more popular versions at the time. That makes it an interesting range for Poole collectors, as well as for customers who prefer a gentler green colourway for everyday use.

When matching Poole Green Leaf, it is worth noting that the sponged decoration and green edging can vary slightly from piece to piece. These small differences are part of the design’s character and reflect the way the pattern was decorated.

For many customers, Green Leaf is a pattern they are trying to keep in regular use. As a discontinued Poole range, it is often sought out by those looking to replace a broken cup, find a missing saucer, or add useful plates and serving pieces to an existing set.

Availability depends entirely on what becomes available through the pre-loved market. As Green Leaf is not one of the Poole patterns we see every day, individual pieces may only appear from time to time.
