Denby Summit was produced from around 1969 into the early 1970s and was designed by Glyn Colledge and Gill Pemberton. It shares its shape with the iconic Denby Arabesque range, but offers a much simpler and more understated aesthetic.
The design is defined by its smooth, egg-shell white glaze, framed with a deep chocolate brown rim. This minimal approach gives Summit a timeless and versatile look, making it easy to mix with other Denby ranges or use as a neutral everyday service.
As with many lighter glazed Denby designs of the period, pieces can show signs of use over time, particularly on flatware such as plates and bowls. As a result, examples in excellent condition can be harder to find, especially for the most frequently used items.
For those looking to replace or extend an existing set, Denby Summit remains a quietly elegant choice, combining classic Denby durability with a refined and unfussy design.
