Denby Madrigal was introduced in the late 1970s and produced on the same shape as Gill Pemberton’s earlier Rondo design. The range reflects Denby’s continued exploration of warm, earthy tones during this period, with a simple yet effective combination of colour and form.

The design features a soft beige centre with a pale, almost white outer glaze, finished with a contrasting brown band around the rim. This restrained decoration allows the natural tones of the stoneware to come through, giving the range a calm and understated appearance.
