Denby "Greenwheat"
Denby Greenwheat is one of the iconic designs produced by the Denby Pottery over the years and is perhaps one of their most recognised when wandering the halls of antiques and collectibles fairs. First issued in 1956, and designed by Albert Colledge, it was not only in production for over 20 years but was one of their best selling designs.
Due to the longevity of production there is a huge variety of pieces to collect with minor variations in design over the years. It features a wheat sheaf hand-painted design on a white "egg-shell" glazed base, with complimentary high glazed green lids, saucers and bases. Some pieces also came with teak stands.
