Fresh Finds for September – New & Returning Stock - 19/09/26

Another batch of pre-loved china has made its way onto the MrPottery shelves, with a mixture of newly catalogued pieces and the welcome return of a piece already familiar to the website.

This time there is a particularly good selection of serving ware, including several substantial pieces of Villeroy & Boch Twist-Alea, together with a few rather more unusual finds. We have also added more Wedgwood Florentine, a small group of Colclough Wayside plates and a useful batch of Royal Doulton Wild Cherry mugs.

A few highlights

Villeroy & Boch "Twist-Alea" is probably the standout addition this time. Four larger pieces have joined the range, including a two-pint beverage pot, gravy boat, lidded sugar bowl and an impressive four-pint lidded serving tureen. Serving pieces are often rather harder to replace than everyday plates and bowls, so it is always good to see a group like this arrive together.

There is also more Wedgwood Florentine. A milk jug in the striking Florentine Black W4312 variation is completely new to our catalogue, while a Florentine Turquoise W2714 tea or bread and butter plate has returned to stock. Florentine remains one of Wedgwood's most recognisable and collectible designs, and the contrasting colour variations make it particularly interesting to collect.

Another piece worth mentioning is the Johnson Bros "The Friendly Village" footed egg cup featuring The Ice House. It is one of those smaller, more unusual pieces that turns up rather less often than the familiar plates and cups, and certainly adds a little character to this week's additions.

For something rather more practical, we have added dinner, starter and tea plates to Colclough "Wayside", along with six newly catalogued Royal Doulton "Wild Cherry" mugs.

As always, everything listed above comes from the pre-loved market, so quantities are limited and some of the more unusual pieces may not stay around for long. That unpredictability is also part of the fun. We never quite know what the next crate will contain.
