This is baby Woody, the first in the collection of Nat West piggy banks issued by Nat West and made by Wade between 1983 and 1988. Wishing to encourage youngsters to open accounts with them, baby Woody was given away as part of the overall promotion when someone opened an account with a minimum investment of £5. As this was the easiest Wade money box to acquire it is also the most easily found today.
