Replacement Minton

Minton China
Die Geschichte von Minton China begann, als Thomas Minton, ein Graveur, der bei Josiah Spode, Josiah Wedgwood und John Adams studiert hatte, 1793 seine erste Porzellanfabrik baute. Zunächst wurde Steingut und später unter dem Einfluss von Joseph Poulson Knochenporzellan hergestellt. Nach Poulsons Tod baute Minton 1924 eine neue Fabrik und erweiterte sein Sortiment von Tischgeschirr um Dekorationswaren. Nach Thomas‘ Tod im Jahr 1836 übernahm sein Sohn Herbert die Leitung und leitete eine neue künstlerische Ära für den Namen Minton ein.
Royal Doulton übernahm die Minton-Werke Ende der 1950er Jahre, nutzte die Marke Minton jedoch bis Anfang der 2000er Jahre weiter.
