Rosenthal China kann seine Ursprünge bis ins Jahr 1879 zurückverfolgen, als Philip Rosenthal aus Amerika, wo er eine Ausbildung zum Porzellanverkäufer gemacht hatte, nach Selb, Deutschland, zurückkehrte und ein Porzellanmalereigeschäft gründete. Im Jahr 1891 begann die Fabrik mit der Produktion von eigenem Porzellan und beschäftigte zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts über 1200 Mitarbeiter. 1908 kauften sie die Thomas-Porzellanfabrik. Seitdem ist Rosenthal mit Produktlinien, die Designer-Haushaltswaren, Möbel und sogar Uhren umfassen, immer stärker gewachsen! Sie sind dafür bekannt, über einen der modernsten Porzellanherstellungsprozesse der Welt zu verfügen.
