This is a set of 4 quilted dinner ware / tableware protector covers, sometimes referred to as protector chests or covers. They are soft lined and not rigid. There are 4 sizes in the set for tea plates, starter/dessert plates, breakfast/salad plates and dinner plates. Each case would store at least 8 plates, probably 12 if fine china.
