Purbeck Pottery "Studland"
Purbeck Pottery Studland is a bold and heavy stoneware tableware service from the Purbeck Pottery in Dorset. While not quite as popular as it's brown twin, Portland, the design was produced for a quite a few years resulting in a wide range of pieces and variations to collect, including some decorative vases.
Please note the shades of green and darkness or the think black/grey border vary considerably in this design. Furthermore, some plates and bowls have a stone coloured underside, while others are glazed in a green finish. We do not distinguish between these variations on our website as it simply regarded as part of the design by most owners and collectors, who after all these years have a mixture of pieces.
