Poole Pottery Twintone Red Indian & Magnolia C95 was introduced in 1950 and remained in production until 1956. It combines a warm reddish brown Red Indian glaze with Magnolia, creating one of the more distinctive and collectable Poole Twintone pairings of the early 1950s.
Although its production run was relatively short, Red Indian & Magnolia was used across a pleasing range of Poole shapes, including tea and coffee pieces, serving ware and accessories. The contrast between the warm coloured glaze and the softer Magnolia ground gives the design a fresh but slightly more unusual look than many of the longer running Twintone combinations.
Today, this colourway is popular with collectors and can be harder to find than some of the more familiar Poole Twintone ranges. The Red Indian glaze may also be described in some collector references as Indian Red, so it is worth being aware of both names when researching or matching pieces.
Customers looking for Poole Pottery Twintone Red Indian & Magnolia C95 replacement china are often trying to replace a broken cup, saucer, plate, jar, dish or serving piece, complete a part service, or add a sought-after Twintone colourway to a collection. Availability can vary, as our stock depends on what becomes available through the pre-loved market.
When matching Red Indian & Magnolia, check the pattern code, shape, glaze placement and colour tone carefully. As with many Twintone pieces, there can be subtle variation in the depth of colour and glaze finish, which is part of the character of Poole’s production.
