Poole Pottery Twintone Pink & Seagull C50 is one of the earlier combinations from the Poole Twintone range. It was introduced around 1938 and pairs a gentle pink glaze with Seagull, Poole’s softly mottled grey, making it one of the early colourways to use the Seagull finish that later became so familiar across the Twintone range.

Pink & Seagull has a softer, more delicate look than many of the stronger Twintone combinations. The pink interior gives cups and bowls a warm, fresh feel, while the Seagull exterior adds the speckled, slightly misty character that collectors often associate with early Poole tableware.

This colourway appears to have had a relatively limited production life compared with some of the better known Twintone designs, and it is not often seen today. That makes it an appealing find for collectors, particularly those interested in the earlier pre-war and immediate post-war development of Poole’s two-colour tablewares.

Customers looking for Poole Pottery Twintone Pink & Seagull C50 replacement china are often trying to replace a broken cup, saucer, plate or bowl, complete a small part service, or add a harder-to-find early Twintone colourway to a collection. Availability can vary, as our stock depends on what becomes available through the pre-loved market.

When matching Pink & Seagull, it is worth checking the pattern code, shape, glaze placement and colour tone carefully. The Seagull mottling and the depth of the pink glaze can vary subtly between pieces, which is part of the character of Poole’s early Twintone production.
