Poole Pottery Trudiana, pattern code DW, was designed by Ruth Pavely and painted by Sheila Jenkins. It was produced from around 1955 to 1959 and is one of the more recognisable hand-painted Poole tableware designs of the period.

Trudiana was produced on white earthenware, with simple, open floral decoration that gives the pieces a light and elegant mid-century feel. The design is often found on the Streamline tableware shape, a long-running Poole form originally associated with John Adams and later updated for changing post-war tastes.

Compared with some of Poole’s more elaborate traditional designs, Trudiana has a quieter charm. The decoration is spare, with fine stems, small leaves and rounded flowers, allowing the pale ground and clean shape of the pieces to remain an important part of the look.

Customers looking for Poole Pottery Trudiana replacement china are often trying to replace a broken plate or bowl, complete a small part service, or add a harder-to-find hand-painted piece to an existing collection. Availability can vary, as our stock depends on what becomes available through the pre-loved market.

When matching Trudiana, it is worth checking the DW pattern code, shape, size and hand-painted decoration. Small differences in flower placement, line work and colour strength are part of the character of these painted Poole designs.
