Poole Pottery Nut Tree was released in the late 1970s and was produced on the same rounded shape as Poole’s popular Springtime and Summer Glory ranges. While those designs became familiar favourites, Nut Tree appears to have had a shorter production life, which helps explain why it is less often seen today.

The design features a central stylised floral and foliage spray in soft autumnal brown and ochre tones, with smaller matching sprig motifs placed around the border. The effect is warm and decorative, but still quite restrained compared with some of Poole’s bolder tableware patterns.

Nut Tree has a gentle country feel, with the brown floral decoration sitting neatly against the creamy white background. Its shape links it closely with other Poole tableware of the period, while the colouring gives it a distinctive late 1970s character.

For many customers, Nut Tree is a pattern they are trying to keep in regular use. As a discontinued Poole range, it is often sought out by those looking to replace a broken plate, find a missing bowl, or add useful tea ware and serving pieces to an existing set.

Availability depends entirely on what becomes available through the pre-loved market. Because Nut Tree is less common than some of its close relatives, individual pieces may only appear from time to time.
