Read more about Poole Heather Rose

Poole Pottery Heather Rose was produced on Poole’s Cameo shape, the same elegant mid-century form used for other plain glazed tableware ranges such as Blue Moon and Celadon. Reliable published information about Heather Rose appears to be limited, but it is generally associated with Poole’s 1950s tableware output.

The design is simple but striking, with a clean white interior contrasted by a glossy deep pink exterior glaze. The colour has a warm rose tone, sometimes appearing closer to raspberry or dusky heather depending on the light and the individual piece.

Heather Rose seems to have had a much shorter production life than some of the better known Cameo shape ranges, which helps explain why it is not often seen today. Cups and saucers are among the pieces most likely to be encountered, while larger tableware or serving pieces may be harder to find.

For many customers, Heather Rose is a pattern they are trying to keep in regular use or collect as part of Poole’s mid-century glazed tableware history. As a discontinued Poole range, it is often sought out by those looking to replace a broken cup, find a matching saucer, or add an unusual colourway to an existing collection.

Availability depends entirely on what becomes available through the pre-loved market. As Heather Rose is a scarce range, individual pieces may only appear occasionally, and some items may be especially difficult to source.
