Poole Pottery "Fragrance"

Poole Pottery Fragrance is a pretty discontinued floral tableware design from Poole Pottery. Reliable published information about the pattern appears to be limited, so we avoid giving a firm designer or production date unless a catalogue reference comes to light.

The design features a soft trailing spray of small flowers and foliage, with pale pink, blue, yellow and grey tones arranged across the surface of plates, bowls and tea ware. A fine grey rim gives the pieces a neat finish and keeps the overall effect calm and understated.

Fragrance appears on a rounded shape with softly raised rims, and may share its form with Poole Sherborne or a closely related shape. The gentle decoration and pale colour palette give the pattern a more restrained character than Poole’s brighter fruit or studio-inspired designs.
