M & S "Platinum Rim"

M & S Platinum Rim was sold as part of the M&S Home range and has a clean white and silver appearance. The design is deliberately simple, using a silver rim rather than a printed floral, fruit or pictorial pattern.

Platinum Rim should be distinguished from Marks & Spencer Platinum, which is listed separately and includes a more decorative etched scroll design. When matching, check whether your piece has only silver trim or a fuller silver band with additional detail.

Pieces may include bowls and related tableware, depending on what becomes available through the pre-loved market. Silver-trimmed white designs can be easy to confuse, so piece shape, trim style and pattern name should all be checked.

As M & S Platinum Rim is discontinued tableware, replacement pieces are usually found through the pre-loved market. Availability can vary, but individual bowls and related pieces are useful for completing a set, extending an occasional service or matching a favourite Marks & Spencer Home pattern.
