M & S "Java Stripe"

M & S Java Stripe was sold by Marks & Spencer and has a clean, contemporary look. The design uses a border of multi-coloured stripes on a white background, giving the range a light but cheerful appearance.

The decoration is deliberately simple, relying on the rhythm of the striped border rather than a floral or fruit motif. This makes Java Stripe easy to use as everyday tableware and straightforward to recognise when matching replacement pieces.
