Lladro Decorative Ware
Lladro decorative ware covers a wide range of items including decorative plates and vases. However, it is perhaps best known for the distinctive figures and statuettes. Production first started in 1953 from the home of brothers Juan, José and Vicente Lladró. Inspired by the likes of Capodimonte, Meissen and Sèvres. By 1960 they opened their first shop in Valencia. In the 1970s they entered the American marketplace, but it was the 80s and 90s that witnessed a worldwide growth and interest in the Lladro name and their creations. Today they have boutiques all over the world and work with some of the world's top designers across a range of medium including figurines, lighting, jewellery and even fragrance.
