Johnson Brothers Summerfields is one of the better-known later Johnson Brothers patterns, first appearing in the mid 1980s. The design keeps the decoration light and uncluttered, using small pink flower motifs, fine leaf detail and a broken black border line against a plain white background.
For customers looking to replace a dinner plate, add extra bowls, find cups and saucers, or build up a larger service, Summerfields is a very practical discontinued pattern. It was made in a broad range of pieces, including dinnerware, teaware and serving ware, and was also supported by heavier cookware pieces for customers who liked a fully coordinated kitchen and table setting.
The simple white ground makes Summerfields easy to use, while the small floral detail gives it just enough colour and character. Matching cookware, giftware and linens were also associated with the range, showing how popular and widely coordinated the design became.
As with many discontinued Johnson Brothers ranges, availability varies by piece. If you are trying to complete, extend or carefully match an existing Summerfields set, please check our current stock regularly as individual pre-loved pieces become available.
