Johnson Brothers Queens Bouquet is one of the more interesting historic Johnson Brothers designs, associated with the 1939 Royal Visit to Canada by King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. The backstamp describes the pattern as a replica of a bouquet presented to Queen Elizabeth during that visit, with the design registered in 1940.

The pattern was produced on Johnson Brothers Old English ware, with shaped ribbed edges, gilded trim and a decorative floral border surrounding the central bouquet. It has a more formal and commemorative feel than many later Johnson Brothers tableware designs, while still being recognisably part of the company’s older dinnerware tradition.

For customers looking to replace a plate, add serving pieces, or build up a collectable older service, Queens Bouquet is a distinctive discontinued pattern. The Johnson Brothers reference book records a full dinnerware range, although individual pieces are not commonly found today.

Because Queens Bouquet is an older gilded pattern, shape, backstamp, border detail and colour tone are worth checking carefully when matching pieces. As with all discontinued Johnson Brothers tableware, availability varies by item, so please check our current stock if you are trying to complete, extend or carefully match an existing Queens Bouquet set.
