Johnson Bros "His Majesty"

Johnson Brothers His Majesty is a striking discontinued turkey design, rich in brown tones with subtle touches of colour. Produced from the late 1950s into the 1990s, it became especially popular with American collectors and remains one of the best-known Johnson Brothers holiday tableware patterns.

Johnson Brothers His Majesty was produced from 1959 to 1996 and features a magnificent turkey design, decorated mainly in warm brown tones with touches of colour to bring the bird and surrounding detail to life. The pattern has a traditional festive feel and is particularly associated with autumn dining, Thanksgiving and special occasion table settings.
His Majesty was originally made in a more limited range than many full Johnson Brothers dinner services, including plates, cups and saucers, serving pieces, sauce boats and turkey platters. Later additions included mugs, round dessert bowls, creamers and sugars, giving collectors a useful but still relatively focused selection of pieces to look for.
For customers looking to replace a turkey platter, add extra plates, find a sauce boat, or build up a seasonal service, His Majesty remains a very collectable Johnson Brothers pattern. Although it is especially popular in the United States, pieces do occasionally turn up in the UK, so it is worth checking our current stock if you are trying to complete, extend or carefully match an existing set.
