Eastgate Pottery

Eastgate Pottery in Withernsea first began to garner attention in 1967 when Hornsea Pottery ceased to produce their Fauna and Royal Fauna woodland sculptures. The moulds were sold to Eastgate Pottery, a much smaller concern, allowing Hornsea to focus on their growing tableware business. Over time Eastgate added their own sculptures to the Fauna collections, and while there was a general feeling that they lacked the detail of the Hornsea pieces, many years later, they are just as collectible.
