Denby Trees was introduced around 1970 and is attributed to designer Diana Woodcock-Beckering. It stands apart from many other Denby designs of the period, embracing a more graphic, almost illustrative style with its strong silhouetted trees and layered landscape effect.
The combination of deep purple, soft greens and bold black forms gives the pattern a dramatic, almost abstract feel, making it one of the more unusual and eye-catching designs produced by Denby Pottery.
Produced for a relatively short period, Denby Trees is now rarely seen and has become particularly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts of more distinctive mid-century designs.
As a discontinued pattern, availability is limited and dependent on what becomes available in the pre-loved market. When pieces do appear, they tend to attract interest from those looking to build or complete a truly individual Denby collection.
