Denby Pure Green was produced in the late 2000s, with most sources placing its manufacture between around 2008 and 2010, including its release as part of Denby’s Bicentenary period. The design reflects a modern interpretation of the brand’s long-standing use of green glazes, reimagined in a lighter and more contemporary style.
The pattern is characterised by its mint green high gloss glaze, typically applied to the exterior of hollowware and pouring pieces, as well as to the rims of flatware. This is contrasted with clean white interiors, creating a fresh and balanced appearance that works equally well for everyday dining and more modern table settings.
Pure Green is produced on bold, contemporary shapes, with smooth, rounded profiles, gently tapered bases and distinctive oversized handles. These design elements give the range a confident, modern feel while maintaining the practicality and durability associated with Denby stoneware.
As with many Denby ranges, Pure Green was produced as a full service, including plates, bowls, mugs and a variety of serving pieces. Its clean colour palette also allows it to sit comfortably alongside other Denby designs, particularly those featuring neutral or green tones.
Now discontinued, Denby Pure Green remains a popular choice for those looking to replace or extend an existing set. Availability can vary depending on the piece, as stock depends on what becomes available in the pre-loved market.
