Denby Midnight was introduced in 1983 and designed by Thelma Hague. It quickly became one of Denby’s most popular patterns of the era, combining a deep, vivid blue glaze with a distinctive concentric floral design made up of stylised dot clusters.
The pattern is applied across a range of classic Denby shapes, with the bold decoration contrasting beautifully against the glossy glaze. The design’s strong visual identity, paired with Denby’s durable stoneware, made it a firm favourite for both everyday use and display.
Produced well into the mid 1990s, Midnight was manufactured over a number of years, resulting in a wide range of pieces being available.
As a now discontinued pattern, Denby Midnight remains highly sought after by those looking for replacement china to complete or extend an existing set, as well as by collectors drawn to its bold and iconic design. Availability can vary depending on the piece, with dinner plates and bowls in Excellent condition often in particularly high demand.
