Denby "Manor Green"

Denby Manor Green
Denby Manor Green is perhaps the oldest of the instantly recognisable Denby Pottery oven to tableware designs. Designed by Donald Gilbert it was first issued in 1938/39 and was glazed in a rich sage green, with a cream interior to cups, bowls, serving and pouring ware. Production was paused during the war years and after until 1953 due to the restrictions in the use of colour for potteries at that time. Production of this pattern continued until the late 1970's. As a result there are a wide variety of pieces to collect in this design.
