Initially produced with the Langley backstamp and later with the Denby backstamp, Chatsworth reflects a period of overlap in the company’s history. Aside from this change, the pieces are essentially identical, and we do not distinguish between backstamps in the items listed below. If you have a specific preference, please contact us prior to ordering.
Issued as part of The Natural Homemaker series, Chatsworth sits alongside related designs including Mayflower, Canterbury and Sherwood, all sharing a similar style and heritage.
Produced over a number of years, Denby / Langley Chatsworth was made in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. As with many ranges of this period, slight variations in dimensions can occur between pieces, particularly items such as tea cups, due to changes in production over time.
Chatsworth is often regarded as one of the most popular designs within the series, with its blue colourway proving especially appealing. As a result, certain items such as dinner plates, bowls and mugs can be harder to find in excellent condition.
A matching range of cutlery was also produced to complement the design, see Denby Regency Cutlery (Blue).
As a now discontinued pattern, Denby / Langley Chatsworth remains sought after by collectors and those looking for replacement china to complete or extend an existing set. Availability varies depending on the piece, as supply is dependent on what becomes available in the pre-loved market.
We regularly source Denby / Langley Chatsworth from the pre-loved market, so availability changes frequently.
