The range reflects a point of overlap in the company’s history, combining Langley’s established designs with Denby’s growing influence. Early pieces were produced with the Langley backstamp, while later production carried the Denby backstamp.
Aside from this change, the pieces are essentially identical, and we do not distinguish between backstamps in the items listed below. If you have a specific preference, please contact us prior to ordering.
Produced over a number of years, Denby / Langley Canterbury was made in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. As with many ranges of this period, slight variations in dimensions can occur between pieces, particularly items such as tea cups, due to changes in production over time.
The Natural Homemaker series also included several related designs, including Mayflower, Chatsworth and Sherwood, all sharing a similar style and heritage.
As a now discontinued pattern, Denby / Langley Canterbury remains popular with collectors and those looking for replacement china to complete or extend an existing set. Availability varies depending on the piece, as supply is dependent on what becomes available in the pre-loved market.
We regularly source Denby / Langley Canterbury from the pre-loved market, so availability changes frequently.
