Introduced in the mid-1970s, Denby Dream Weavers formed part of the Once Upon A Time collection, a series of nursery ware designs created with younger users in mind. The range captures a softer, more playful side of Denby’s output during this period.
The design features gentle, storybook-style scenes of children playing amongst mushrooms and butterflies, giving the pieces a whimsical and imaginative feel. It was produced in two colourways, traditionally pink and blue, reflecting the conventions of the time.
The nursery set typically included a plate, bowl, mug and egg cup, all sized and shaped for practical everyday use while retaining the durability for which Denby stoneware is well known.
As part of a themed children’s range, Dream Weavers differs from many of Denby’s more widely recognised tableware patterns, offering a more decorative and character-led design approach.
Today, Denby Dream Weavers is sought after by collectors of Denby nursery ware and by those looking to replace pieces from childhood sets. As with many discontinued Denby patterns, availability depends on what becomes available on the pre-loved market.
We regularly source Denby Dream Weavers from the pre-loved market, so availability changes frequently.
