Denby Dauphine is an elegant floral design from Denby Pottery’s Chateau Collection, introduced in 1982 and inspired by the lighter style of French porcelain.

Created as part of the Chateau Collection, Denby Dauphine reflects a shift towards more refined and decorative stoneware, offering a lighter alternative to Denby’s traditionally heavier tableware.

The design features a delicate sweet-pea floral motif set against a pale background, giving the range a soft and elegant appearance that is quite different from Denby’s more robust and earthy styles.

Denby Dauphine sits alongside other Chateau Collection patterns such as Brittany, Chantilly and Normandy, all sharing a similar refined aesthetic.

The same decorative pattern was later reissued in 1988 on a different shape as Denby Encore, providing an interesting point of comparison for collectors and those looking to match existing pieces.

As a now discontinued pattern, Denby Dauphine is sought after by collectors and those looking for replacement china to complete or extend their existing set. Availability can vary depending on the piece, as supply is dependent on what becomes available in the pre-loved market.
