Closely related to patterns such as Greystone and Pampas, Camelot reflects Denby’s continued focus during the 1980s on durable, functional stoneware with a warm, rustic aesthetic.
The design features a soft cream interior paired with an olive green exterior, complemented by brown concentric rings on plates and selected pieces. This combination creates a classic and understated look, very much in keeping with Denby’s traditional styling of the period.
Produced during a time of evolving manufacturing processes, Camelot can be found with subtle variations. Some upright pieces appear both with and without the characteristic ring detailing, adding an extra point of interest for collectors and those looking to match existing items.
The range also included a number of highly practical cookware items, with casserole dishes proving particularly popular, especially those in the distinctive “cottage loaf” shape, which have become especially recognisable within the collection.
As a now discontinued pattern, Denby Camelot remains sought after by those looking for replacement china to complete or extend their existing set. Availability can vary depending on the specific piece and variation, as supply is dependent on what becomes available in the pre-loved market.
We regularly source Denby Camelot from the pre-loved market, so availability changes frequently.
