New Stock Alert, Denby Colonial Blue and Royal Crown Derby Imari

We have added another small but interesting selection of discontinued china and replacement tableware to the MrPottery website this week. It is not the largest stock update we have ever put together, but there are definitely a few pieces here worth a closer look.

This week’s additions include some very useful serving pieces, a handful of pretty coffee set items, several Colclough tea ware pieces, and a rather special Royal Crown Derby Old Imari tea plate. As always, all stock comes from the pre-loved market, so availability is limited and individual pieces may not hang around for long.

Patterns of note this week

Denby Colonial Blue is the practical standout this week, with a good selection of serving and oven-to-table pieces added, including an oval casserole, oval entree, round platter and divided open serving dish. Colonial Blue remains one of those Denby ranges that manages to feel calm, useful and smart without making too much noise about it.

The most collectible piece this week is probably the Royal Crown Derby Old Imari tea plate. Old Imari is a high quality, high value Royal Crown Derby design, known for its rich colour, intricate decoration and generous use of gilding. Not exactly the piece you sling into the dishwasher with yesterday’s cereal bowl, but a lovely find all the same.

There are also some pretty smaller additions this week, including demitasse coffee cups and saucers from Royal Grafton plus giftware pieces from Coalport, Royal Albert and Royal Worcester. Small pieces like these are often exactly what customers are missing when trying to finish off a cabinet display, coffee set or dresser arrangement.

All of these pieces are from the pre-loved market, so stock is naturally limited. Some items may be easy to replace again in the future, while others may be pieces we do not see very often at all.
